Yes, our tear sheets provide specific ratings for each design. Our fabrics are available in durability ratings from 17,000 to 50,000 rubs in the case of our cotton velvets. Across the range, we have fabrics that are suitable for soft furnishings, curtains, upholstery and wall panelling.

What is the durability of your wallpapers?

Our wallpapers are designed with both residential and hospitality projects in mind and all have good light fastness. Please follow the specific care instructions included with each roll or contact studio@kitmiles.co.uk for advice.

Many of our wallpapers are printed on ground papers that are spongeable or washable. For those that are washable, use a solution of water with a small amount of gentle detergent (e.g. dish washing liquid) on a lightly dampened sponge. Washing can be followed by another light sponging with water only and, if necessary, dried with a soft cloth. Please test a small but inconspicuous area in the first instance.

Some of our collections contain materials that require a different kind of care such as a light vacuuming using a soft brush attachment taking care not to damage the texture.

What is the lightfastness of your wallpapers?

All of our wallpaper collection has been certified as Good lightfastness.

How do I hang Kit Miles wallpaper?

Hanging instructions can be downloaded from our website. They are also printed and included within each roll of our beautifully printed wallpaper.

Should I use interlining when using Kit Miles fabrics for curtains?

We would always advise using an interlining for curtains given its many benefits including prolonging the life of the textile in your interior.

What is the composition of fabrics within the Kit Miles range?

Our collections contain a blend of velvet, cottons, linens, linen unions and more. See our tear sheets for further details about the content of each fabric.

How do I calculate how much wallpaper or fabric I need for my project?

The details provided on our tear sheets will enable you to calculate the requirements for your project.  You may wish to verify these with your maker, fitter or professional contractor to ensure that you order the correct amount for your specific needs.

Every effort can be made to assist you with estimating if required. However, any such assistance is given in good faith since it is ultimately your responsibility to order the correct amount.
